The most striking feature of earth is the water. 75% of Earth’s surface is covered by water in both liquid and frozen state. So, the Earth is also called “watery planet”. Water is present everywhere on earth, from inside the planet's rocky crust to inside the cells of the human body. Land is occupied by only three-tenths of our globe. It is the presence of water due to which life is possible on earth.
