Synthetic fibres have unique characteristics which make them popular dress materials, some of them given below-

Synthetic fibres are strong and durable. They are long lasting as compared to natural fibres.
They absorb very little water. They dry up quickly.
They are wrinkle resistant. They do not get rumpled easily during washing and wear.
They are light weight and extremely fine.
