Do plants and forest play any role with respect to the rain? Explain

Planting more trees bring rain because plants transpire. Transpiration is a process by which aerial parts of the plants lose water as water vapour during photosynthesis. this water is added to the normal moisture of the air thus making the air saturated faster and brings rain. Growing trees take water from the soil and release it into the atmosphere. Tree leaves also act as interceptors, catching falling rain, which then evaporates causing rain precipitation elsewhere — a process known as evapo-transpiration. This phenomenon is caused by trees releasing water vapour through pores in their leaves called stomata. We also know that many big forests, and rainforests in particular, tend to get more rain than surrounding areas
