Natural numbers are the set of positive integers, that is, integers from 1 to ∞ excluding fractional n decimal part. They are whole numbers excluding zero. Natural Numbers are also called counting numbers. Zero is the only whole number which is not a natural number.

Natural numbers: all the non zero positive integers are called natural numbers. Eg. 1,2,3,4…so on
Whole numbers: all non negative integers are called whole numbers. Eg. 0,1,2,3…so on
The point to be remembered is that all natural numbers are whole numbers but all whole numbers are not natural numbers. For ease you can remember that 0 is a whole number but not a natural number.
