- In early age prior to printing manuscript culture was very popular among monks, they not only copied religious works, but variety of texts including astronomy, herbals, medical etc.
- Manuscript culture deals with the transition of the manuscripts from the monasteries to the market in the cities and influence the rise of education & trade.
- Manuscript culture in the cities created jobs around the sectors related to trade and education.
- Late manuscript culture was characterized by desire of uniformity and convenient access to contained text, which can be read aloud which influence to remediation of printed books.
