We put on handkercheif because it releze bacteria which is harmful for another person

One should keep a handkerchief on the nose or mouth while sneezing because sneezing releases bacteria which could be harmful to another person around and cause them to fall sick.
So it is advisable to cover our mouth with a handkerchief or our hand to prevent such undesirable event happening because of us.
