The metal reeds which are connected to the frame of the harmonium are the vibrating parts of the harmonium. Harmonium is one of the most used musical instruments in the classical Indian music genre. In Manjira the whole body vibrates. In Ghatam vibrations are transferred through the saddle and bridge (the parts that connect the strings to the body) into the body wood which creates the acoustics and amplify the sound. Ektara is the strings which when set in motion produces sound. harmonium is the metal frames within that vibrate causing its sound.
