When light falls on the surface of an object, the object sends the light back. This process of sending back the light rays which falls on the surface of an object is called reflection of light. Most of the objects reflect light which falls on them. The objects having polished, shinning surfaces reflect more light than objects having unpolished, dull surfaces. For example – a shinning silvered mirror reflects back almost all the light which falls on it.
