During the first world war the British import declined in India for military supply in Europe. So the government turned to TISCO for supply of Rails. And as the war dragged for many years the Tisco became the biggest Iron and Steel industry within the British Empire.Thus, 90% of Indians and British were buying the iron and steel from Tisco .That's how the Indian iron and steel industry became grown up and developed
