The jallian wala bagh is also known as Amritsar masscare. It is a massacre that happened in Amritsar in 1919. British Indian Army start shooting at an unarmed gathering on men women and children. The person in charge was brigadier general Reganild Dyer,the military commander of Amritsar. The shooting lasted about 10 minute. According to official British raj sources,379 people were killed. According to other sources there were about 1000 deaths. In about 2000 wounded, and civil surgeon Dr. Smith said that there were 1,526 casualties
