The European-Asian sea route, commonly known as the sea route to India or the Cape Route, is a shipping route from European coast of the Atlantic Ocean to Asia's coast of the Indian Ocean passing by the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Agulhas at the southern edge of Africa. The European try to find out an alternative sea route to India Because it became necessary for the Europeans to a direct sea route to the East because of the increase in demands of cotton, silk and spices. This resulted in great competition and less profit.
