Isotopes are the forms of an element which have same atomic number but different atomic mass number. They are the forms of the same element.

Applications of Isotopes in medical field:-

An isotope of Cobalt is used in the treatment of cancer.
An isotope of uranium is used to produce nuclear energy.
An isotope of iodine is used to treat goitre.
