How do the bulbs get fused

A bulb is said to be fused because of low resistance path provided by broken filament ends which causes spark on account of electric discharge. More thinner the part of filament compared to rest, lesser will be the heat dissipation and more will be the thermal stress as more heat will be generated along thinner part than the rest of filament.
