Endemic species are the animals and plants exclusively found in a specific geographical area. .They are not found found naturally anywhere else. For example, endemic species found in the Nilgiri biosphere reserve are Nilgiri langurs, Great Indian horn bills, thorny costers, blue mormons etc.
