How is a shadow formed?

When we stand in sunlight, our body blocks some of the light that would have otherwise brightened the ground and then a shadow formed or a shadow is formed when the light is obstructed by an opaque object

Shadow is formed when the light falls on the opaque object it forms a dark shape of an object is called shadow

Shadow is form when the light falls on an opaque object . Formation of shadow needs a screen object and a light source. The inner region of a shadow is called umbra and outer region is called as penumbra.
