Kinetic Energy: 

The energy possessed by a body due to its motion is called its kinetic energy.

Formula for kinetic energy: 

Kinetic Energy = (½) x mass x velocity x velocity, shortly represented as the following KE = (½) mv2 

Examples: 

  1. The energy possessed by a moving road roller
  2. The energy possessed by a fired bullet from a gun.
  3. The energy possessed by an arrow released from a bow.
