Bone marrow is a soft spongy or flexible tissue that lies within the hollow interior of long bones. In Adults, bone marrow produces new blood cells.
There are 2 types of bone marrow:
1. Red Marrow that is responsible for producing red blood cells, white blood cells and platlets.
2. Yellow marrow mainly consists of fats cells.
