    Fluid Friction: It is the resistance force of flow of liquids.
    As in the case of solids, fluid surfaces also offer resistance to movement. This resistance, exhibited by a fluid surface, is called fluid friction.

    or

    A fluid friction is a resistance offered by a fluid against its flow. the fluid friction is better referred as viscosity.

    Friction offer by the fluid to an object passing through it. Pls. Keep in mind that fluid is a common term used for both air and water.
