1) External fertilization occurs in fish and frog.
2) The females lays a vast number of eggs in water & males releases some millions of sperms on to them.
3) Eggs may be carried to a long distance by water currents or they may be eaten by predators.
4) So,fertilization is a chance factor & controlled by nature.
Hence it is inevitable to produce a vast number of eggs by fish & frog.
