Viruses are different from other microorganisms as they only act as living organisms when they are inside any body else they are acting like a non living organism.

They have characteristics of both living and non living beings. Presence of genetic material and multiplication make them living whereas, absence of cell wall and cytoplasm and cell wall and they can't be crystallized make them non living.
