in Mahalwari settlement introduced in the Punjab, parts of Uttar Pradesh and Central India, the revenue settlement was made for the entire Mahal or a state or village. The heads of families collected the tax and paid as collective owners of the estate. The land revenue could be revised periodically.

*) Mahalwari system was introduced in western part of uttar pradesh , in punjab, and delhi. *) The revenue system was not fixed and to be revisend periodically . *) The village head men were the incharge of collecting revenue.

This system is devised by mack. According to the system the village head is incharge of collecting revenue. The revenue is revised according to the Mahal i.e village this is called Mahalwari system
