When an object moves backwards and forwards rapidly, we say an object is vibrating and produces sound. The energy required to make an object vibrate and produce sound is provided by some outside source.
Some animals can hear sounds of frequencies higher than 20,000 Hz like dogs. The police use high frequency whistles which dogs can hear but humans cannot.
Bat produces ultrasonic sound during screaming so we cannot hear its sound.
