    In battle of Seringapatanam, the tiger of mysore : Tipu Sultan was killed while he was defending his capital which was Seringapatnam. This was 4th battle of Tipu Sultan fought with British in 4 may 1799. In this battle, the victory was of the East India Company. After this, Mysore was bought under the former ruling dynasty of Wodeyars and subsidary alliance was imposed in this state .

    In the Battle of Seringapatanam,Company ultimately win  a victory.Tipu Sultan was killed defending his capital Seringapatanam(4th May 1799),Mysore was placed under the former ruling dynasty of the Wodeyars and subsidiary alliance was imposed on the state.
