Actually coal is a natural substance that is made from the dead vegetation such as - dead plants and animals , under the earth condition that dead vegetation is converted into coal. This process is known as carbonisation. Under ocean when a sea plant and animals dies it is known to be settled at bottom of the sea and slowly it is covered by soil and buried under high temperature and pressure the dead vegetation get converted into petroleum
