The gases like sulphur dioxide and nitrogen di -oxide react with the water vapor present in the atmosphere to form sulphuric acid and nitric acid the acid drops down with rain making the rain acidic. 1. Acid rain affects buildings , monuments and statues. 2. It also affects living organisms.
