The company's administration was divided into three provinces namely Madras, Bombay and kalkata, whereas the Indian rulers administration was divided into four parts i.e district, pragana, tehsil and village . In company ' administration each provinces was ruled by the governor whereas in Indian administration , it was ruled by the zaminders and peasants . The governor -general was the supreme head in the company's administration, whereas in the Indian ruler administration, the administrative head was the kings or nawabs .
