Excessive use of plastics affects enviromwnt in the following ways :- (1) When you burn plastics, harmful gases / fumes like:- co (i.e) carobon - monoxide and co2 (carbon -dioxide) are released which increases the temprature of enviromwnt causing (GLOBAL WARMING) and also (AIR POLLUTION). (2) Plastics are also harmful to domestic stray animals, such as cows.They eat waste food along with the plastic, which gets choked in the respiratory system which do not allows to breathe and causes a cow to death. (3) Plastics, when thrown near any drain. It clogs the drainage pipe and do not allows the waste to go which also causes drainage problem. (4) Plastics are also non - biodegradable. (i.e) they are not easily degraded by the nature. Plastics can melt and can get dissolve in soil but the chemical particles cannot be degraded. (5) We should also not store eatables in plastic polyethens and also in other plastic items because plaatics are made of chemicals which spoil our food and can be harmful to our body.
