James mill divided Indian history into three parts Hindu Muslim and British this periodization has its own problem it is difficult to refer any period of history as Hindu or Muslim because a variety of Faith existed during this period it is also not justified to characterize and age through the religion of the ruler what is suggest that the life of the others do not really matter it is worth mentioning that the rulers of the ancient India did not all share the same faith
