a. Anaemia: It is caused by the deficiency of iron. Iron is needed to make haemoglobin present in red blood cells and hence cures anemia. It is found in spinach, green leafy vegetables, apple, egg, cereals, pulses and groundnut.
b. Beri-beri: It is caused due to the deficiency of vitamin B1. Its main sources are milk, eggs, meat, cereals, potatoes and green vegetables.
c. Scurvy: It is caused due to the deficiency of vitamin C. It is found in citrus fruits such as oranges and lemon, amla, tomatoes, guava and green vegetables.
