Compound
1) An element consists of the same kind of atom.
1) Compounds are formed when two or more elements combine chemically in a fixed proportion.
2) The smallest particle of an element is an atom.
2) The smallest particle of a compound is a molecule.
3) All the particles of an element have similar properties.
3) The properties of compounds may or may not be similar to their constituents.
