John bought 4500 kg of fresh fish at the rate rs 50 per kg and spent rs 8000 for salt and transport. After one month he sold the dry fish at the rate of rs 200 per kg. Find his gain or loss. ( Note : 3kg of fish gives 1 kg of dry fish)

    Rate of 1 kg fresh fish=rs50 Rate of 4500kg fish=4500×50=rs225000 Transport&salt=rs8000 Total amount john spent on fish=rs225000+rs8000=rs233000 If 3kg of fish gives 1 kg of dry fish Then 4500kg of fish will give=4500÷3=1500kg Rate of 1kg dry fish=rs200 Rate of 1500kg dry fish=1500×200=rs300000 Total amount gain=rs300000-rs233000=rs67000 John gain rs67000
