In an simple electric bell when the switch is pressed and the current starts flowing in the circuit and turns the coil into electromagnet .Then the electromagnet attracts the armature and the hammer strikes the gong because of the movement of the armature the connection between the bi-metallic strip and the armature brakes and the circuit brakes .
