Area of square = 49 sq. cm
Side of square = √49 = 7 cm.
Perimeter of square = 4 × side = 4 × 7 = 28 cm
Perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle = 28 cm
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length) + 2 (breadth)
28 = 2(9.3 ) + 2 (breadth)
28 = 18.6 + 2(breadth)
2 (breadth) = 28 – 18.6 = 9.4
breadth = 4.7 cm
Area of rectangle = length × breadth = 9.3 × 4.7 = 43.71 sq. cm
So area of rectangle is greater than area of square.
