Yogita Ingle 7 years, 10 months ago

Length of the floor = 150 cm
Breadth of the floor = 180 cm
Area of the room = (length × breadth)  = (150 × 180) cm2  = 27000 cm2

Length of the tile = 15 cm

Area of the tile = (side × side) = 15 ×  15 = 225 cm2
Number of tiles required to cover the floor = {tex}\frac{Area\;of\;the\;floor}{Area\;of\;one\;tile}{/tex}= {tex}\frac{27000}{225}{/tex} = 120 tiles.
