1.The British were disallowing Indians from possesing arms.Arms Act=1878 2.They also enacted in an effort to silence those who were critical of the government.Vernacular Press Act=1878 3.They withdraw the ILbert Bill which provided for the trial of british or European persons by Indians and sought equality between British and Indian judges in the country.
