    Biotechnology is a technology based on biology biotechnology harnesses cellular and biomolecular processes to develop technologies and products that help improve our lives and health of our planet . We have used the biological processes of microorganisms for more than 6000 years to make useful food products like bread , cheese to preserve dairy products. Advantages of it 1. Using biotechnology in the growth and production of fruits and vegetables has enabled the scientists to change the way they ripen. 2. Increase crop production. 3. Improve life span and health. Disadvantage of it 1. Increase in unemployment. 2. Reduction in natural biodiversity. 3. Dependence on developed countries for technology and resources.
