Atmospheric pressure is defined as the pressure exerted by the envelop of air around us, also known as the atmosphere, which extends up to many kilometres above the surface of the earth. To measure the atmospheric pressure, imagine a unit area and a very long cylinder standing on it filled with ar, then the weight of the air in this cylinder is the atmospheric pressure.
