1. Contact forces:

a.) A force that is applied when one object comes into contact with another is called a contact force.

b.) Types: 1. Muscular force 2. Friction.

2. Non-contact force

a.) The force which acts on an object without coming physically in contact with it is called non-contact force.

b.) Types: 1. Electrostatic force 2. Force of gravity 3. Magnetic force.
