A factor is any number that can divide the given number leaving remainder zero
e.g. 18
1 is a factor of 18 since 1 x 18 = 18
2 is a factor of 18 since 2 x 9 = 18
3 is a factor of 18 since 3 x 6 = 18
hence 18 = 1 x 2 x 3 x 3
so 1 , 2 , 3, are factors of 18
