The two fundamental rights that Dalits can draw upon to insist that they are treated with dignity and as equals are:

  1. Right to Equality: All persons are equal before the law. No citizen can be discriminated against on the basis of his or her socioeconomic background, caste, religion etc. Every person has an equal right of access to all public places including playgrounds, hotels, shops, etc.

उद्धव को गोपियों ने भाग्यशाली व्यंग्यात्मक रूप में  कहा है क्योंकि कृष्ण के इतने समीप रहते हुये भी वे उनके प्रेम रूपी स्नेह से अछूते रह गए हैं इसीलिए हमें निर्गुण भक्ति का संदेश देने आए हो किंतु तुम्हारे संदेश का हम पर कोई प्रभाव नहीं पड़ेगा । जिस प्रकार तेल की गगरी चल के भीतर रहे फिर भी उस पर एक बूंद जल नहीं लगता है उसी प्रकार आप भी कृष्ण के साथ रहे पर उनके प्रेम का एक भी तिनका आपके ऊपर नहीं लगा गोपियाँ उद्धव द्वारा दी गयी योग की शिक्षा से प्रसन्न नहीं थीं । वे कृष्ण को भूलने वाले योग  को सीखना नहीं चाहती  थी इसलिए  उद्धव का मज़ाक उड़ाते हुये उन्हें भाग्यवान कहा है।
