Induced investment refers to the investment which is made with the motive of earning profit as it is done in private sector. Induced investment depends directly upon profit expectations. Explanation: म् + ओ (sounds come which forms) - न

Sandhi is divided into three types: (संधि तीन प्रकार में विभाजित है):

1) स्वर संधि (Swar Sandhi).

2) व्यंजन संधि (Vayanjan Sandhi)

3) विसर्ग संधि (Visarga Sandhi

Physical properties of Phenols

•    Phenols are colourless liquids or crystalline solids but become coloured due to slow oxidation with air.

•    Due to the presence of strong intermolecular hydrogen bonding, phenols have a higher boiling point than the corresponding hydrocarbon or aryl halides.

•    Due to their ability to form hydrogen bonds with water, phenols are moderately soluble in H₂O.

•   The phenols are acidic in nature and stronger acids than alcohols. This is due to the fact that the sp² hybridised carbon of phenol to which −OH is attached, is highly electronegative which causes a decrease in electron density on oxygen. This Increases the polarity of O−H bond and results in an increase in ionisatlon of phenols than that of alcohols.

Moreover, the phenoxide ion so produced is stabilised by the delocalization of charge in phenol.

Note:  The presence of electron withdrawing group like NO² group, increases the acidic strength whereas the electron donating groups  like an alkyl group decreases the acidic strength. Therefore, the acidic strength order is

बड़े-बड़े बिल्डर समुद्र को धीरे-धीरे पीछे धकेल कर उसकी जमीन पर बड़ी-बड़ी इमारतें बनाते जा रहे थे। जब इन बिल्डरों ने समुंद्र की सारी जगह अधिकार करना चाहा तो समुंद्र को गुस्सा आ गया। उसने अपना गुस्सा निकालने के लिए एक रात तीन समुद्री जहाजों को उठाकर तीन अलग अलग दिशाओं में फेंक दिया यह जहाज वर्ली के समुद्र के किनारे पर आकर गिरा, दूसरा कार्टर रोड के सामने गिरा , और तीसरा गेटवे ऑफ इंडिया पर गिरकर बुरी तरह टूट गया। इस प्रकार समुद्र ने गुस्से को प्रकट करके बिल्डरों को चेतावनी दी थी।

लेखक के घर में कबूतरों ने घोंसला बना रखा था। कबूतर अपने बच्चों की रखवाली के लिए बार-बार लेखक के घर में चले आते थे जिससे लेखक का घर और पुस्तकालय गंदा होते थे इसलिए कबूतरों से अपने घर के बचाव के लिए लेखक की पत्नी को खिड़की में जाली लगवानी पड़ी। 

बढ़ती हुई आबादी के कारण पर्यावरण असंतुलित हो गया है। आवासीय स्थलों को बढ़ाने के लिए वन, जंगल यहाँ तक कि समुद्रस्थलों को भी छोटा किया जा रहा है। पशुपक्षियों के लिए स्थान नहीं है। इन सब कारणों से प्राकृतिक का सतुंलन बिगड़ गया है और प्राकृतिक आपदाएँ बढ़ती जा रही हैं। कहीं भूकंप, कहीं बाढ़, कहीं तूफान, कभी गर्मी, कभी तेज़ वर्षा इन के कारण कई बिमारियाँ हो रही हैं। इस तरह पर्यावरण के असंतुलन का जन जीवन पर गहरा प्रभाव पड़ा है।

'डेरा डालने' का अर्थ है - अस्थाई रूप से बसना। आजकल पक्षियों को अपने घोसलें बनाने के लिए उपयुक्त जगह नहीं मिल पाती हैं इसलिए वे लोग इमारतों में ही अपना डेरा जमा लेते हैं। 

लेखक ने ग्वालियर से मुंबई तक अनेक बदलाव देखे-

• उसके देखते-देखते बहुत सारे पेड़ कट गए। 

• नई-नई बस्तियाँ बस गईं। 

• चौड़ी सड़कें बन गईं। 

• पशु-पक्षी शहर छोड़कर भाग गए। जो बच गए उन्होंने जैसे-तैसे यहाँ-वहाँ घोंसला बना लिया।

लेखक के घर एक कबूतर का घोसला था जिसमें दो अंडे थे। एक अंडा बिल्ली ने झपट कर तोड़ दिया, दूसरा अंडा बचाने के लिए माँ उतारने लगीं तो टूट गया। इस पर उन्हें दुख हुआ। माँ ने प्रायश्चित के लिए पूरे दिन रोज़ा रखा और नमाज़ पढ़कर माफी माँगती रहीं।

प्रकृति में आए असंतुलन का क्या परिणाम हुआ?
उत्तर
प्रकृति में आए असंतुलन का दुष्परिणाम यह हुआ कि मौसम अनिश्चित हो गया। अब गरमी में ज्यादा गरमी पड़ने लगी है, बेवक्त की बरसातें होने लगी हैं, तूफ़ान, भूकंप, बाढ़, नए-नए रोगों का प्रकोप बढ़ चला है।

लेखक की माँ सूरज ढ़लने के बाद पेड़ों के पत्ते तोड़ने के लिए मना करती थीं। उनका मानना था कि इससे पेड़ रोने लगते हैं।
