Find midpoint C of AB by midpoint formula. By distance formula length AB = 7 units. Let point D is at a distance of 14 units from C but nearer to B. Hence BD = 10.5 units and CB = 3.5 units. Hence B divides CD internally in ratio 1:3. Now we can find co-ordinates of D by using section formula.. Similarly we can find co-ordinates of Extreme Point nearer to A.
