• The party opposes the western industrial model which is being forced upon the Indian people and aims to develop an agro-industrial model which will benefit the majority of the country’s population including its farmers and laborers.
• The party has the objective of providing employment to every able person, so as to give everyone a dignified means of livelihood.
• Educational reform is high on the party’s agenda, and it aims to make education, both basic and higher, free and open for all. The party opposes private, profit-making educational institutions.
• The party believes that quality healthcare is the right of every Indian and that government spending on healthcare should increase manifold in order to ensure universal access.
• The party believes that India must have a national wage policy.
• The party is opposed to nuclear armaments and energy and it would pursue the policy of alternative energy development.
• The party believes that rural communities should have sovereignty over the water, land and forest resources they are dependent on.
• The party supports the right of the nomads of India to their traditional livelihood.

• The party supports well-meaning civil society agitations against corruption but believes that corruption can only be properly addressed by replacing neo-liberal policies and our current development model.

Rajinder Sachar Committee reccomendations:
• Set up an Equal Opportunity Commission to look into grievances of deprived groups like minorities.
• Create a nomination procedure to increase participation of minorities in public bodies.
• Establish a delimitation procedure that does not reserve constituencies with high minority population for SCs.
• Increase employment share of Muslims, particularly where there is great deal of public dealing. Work out mechanisms to link madarsas with higher secondary school board.
• Recognise degrees from madarsas for eligibility in defence, civil and banking examinations. 
 

Two nation theory means the cultural, political, religious, economic and social dissimilarities between two major communities, Hindus and Muslims. These differences of outlook in fact were greatly instrumental in giving rise to two distinct political ideologies which were responsible for the partition of India.

Muslims had realized that in after the departure of British fromSouth Asia, they were going to be ruled by the Hindu majority which would ruin this identity, their religious, cultural and moral values. Thus emerged a new concept of two separate nation on the political arena of sub continent. Allama Iqbal had already wished for a separate Islamic scale. This demand was further advanced inPakistanresolution clearly demanding a separate homeland or Muslims of South Asia. As this demand was based on two nation theory, it became the ideology of Pakistan.

China has been the fastest growing economy in the world since the 1980s, with an average annual growth rate of 10% from 1978 to 2005, based on government statistics. Its GDP reached $USD 2.225 trillion in 2005. Since the end of the Maoist period in 1978, China has been transitioning from a state dominated planned socialist economy to a mixed market socialist economy. This transformation required a complex number of reforms in China's fiscal, financial, enterprise, governance and legal systems and the ability for the government to be able to flexibly respond to the unintended consequences of these changes. This transformation has been accompanied by high levels of industrialization and urbanization, a process that has influenced every aspect of China's society, culture and economy.

The large size of China means there are major regional variations in living standards that can vary from extreme poverty to relative prosperity. In much of rural China, peasants live off the land, while in major cities like Shanghai and Beijing a modern service-based economy is forming.
