The Bengal School of Art, commonly referred as Bengal School, was an art movement and a style of Indian painting that originated in Bengal, primarily Kolkata and Shantiniketan, and flourished throughout the Indian subcontinent, during the British Raj in the early 20th century.

The Miniature paintings of Rajasthan were originally commissioned by the Rajput kings, but Mughal influence came to be seen in them, in terms of clothing, facial features and architecture. In Udaipur, Rajasthan, there are many craftsmen who have learnt this art from their forefathers, who were artists for the kings.

The asymmetric vertical wall painting by Khsitindra Nath Majumdar is said to be one of the best depictions of the subject by the painter. The painting depicts a scene wherein Lord Krishna is shown dancing with Radha and eleven Gopikas

Pragyaparmita was one of the principal texts of Mahayana Buddhism. It describes the iconographic features & characteristics of the Mahayana and Vajrayana buddhist gods & goddesses-- Dhyani Buddha,Bodhisattvas,Jambhala,Hariti,Parnashabri,Maitreya etc..
All the sculptures & images of these Vajrayana deities found in many Buddhist Asian countries follow the iconographic description given in this text & other buddhist texts like Sadhanmala,Nishpanayogavali etc.
