Sahibdin Painted “Nayak-Nayika Bheda”, Bhagwat purana and series of “Ragmala” paintings. he also painted the themes from social and cultural life and transform paintings from Mewar paintings from primitive folk style into sophisticated style. The background in Mewar school was decorated with bright flat colors.

Name- Maru Ragini Artist - Sahibdin School -Mewar School Period -Circa 18th century Medium- Water colour Technique- Tempera Courtesy - The national museum ( New Delhi ) Subject matter- It's a vertical painting from Ragamala series. It was painted by Sahibdin. Description - It's a vertical painting of king and queen riding on a camel. Two escorts are running along them. The background is yellow and the foreground is green in colour. A escort is leading the camel. The camel is in full enthusiasm. A hunting dog is also running. The dresses are in glat colours. Camel is well decorated and king and queen are dressed in traditional dresses and representing royalty. The king is representing a flower to queen. Some calligraphy is also done on its top with devnagri. The colours are bright and very natural.
