Three characteristics of Foot Loose Industries:
(i) Foot loose industries can be located in a wide variety of places.
(ii) They are not dependent on any specific raw material, weight loosing or otherwise.
(iii) They largely depend on component parts which can be obtained from anywhere.

As per UNDP's Human Development Index (HDI) India is ranked 130 among 189 countries.

1.This railway line transport machinery and other implements from the industrially develop centres of European Russia to the regions in the eastern Siberia. Thus it has helped in the development of resources of the Siberian Russia to the maximum.

Population composition:
(i)Population composition refers to those characteristics of population which are measurable and which help us distinguish one group of people from the other.
(ii)Age, ***, literacy, occupation are some of the important components which reflect the composition of population.
(iii)These components in different societies have different proportions. They also affect the life of all the people in a society and help in setting future agenda for development.

The core concerns of geography are mentioned below:
(i) Changing relationship between the unresting man and unstable earth.
(ii) The man is active and unresting.
(iii)It is emphasized on determinism.

Population size is more technically called population density, designated as N.

Population density can be measured by

• Counting the number.
• Percent cover.
• Pug marks and fecal pellets for tiger census.

Pakistani economist Mahbub ul Haq created HDI in 1990 which was further used to measure the country's development by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Calculation of the index combines four major indicators: life expectancy for health, expected years of schooling, mean of years of schooling for education and Gross National Income per capita for standard of living.
