M-114, Mall Road Delhi 7th October, 2019 The Times of India New Delhi Sub: Miserable condition in slum areas Dear sir Increasing urbanisation in developing countries is putting pressure on the provision of basic services and housing, a challenge that the government cannot afford to ignore. The existence of slums in every urban areas is due to the imbalance in the urban economy. The government, fully aware of a sizable portion of its poverty-stricken population that lives under despicable sanitation and housing conditions conveniently turns a blind eye to its cause. The slum people of India are treated like third rate citizens in their own country. Jobs, food, water, housing, sanitation, all the basic amenities are not enjoyed by this class of people. Lack of education breeds criminal tendencies among them; rowdyism is the profession for many a young man. Drug abuse finds its roots here. Their localities are a haven of diseases. Defecating on the streets, child marriages and gross negligence of hygiene has lead to a high mortality rate among them. I hope that you will give space to my concern in your esteemed daily. Thank you Yours truly xxx

"If we run away from our fears, they grow, if we fight with them, they shrink." Some people use to run away from their problems, this leads to the growth of that problem. They must not be too scared of the problems. It all depends upon how we think! Always move forward thinking that if difficulties have come they will go away, just waiting for the right time.Neither take a problem too serious that it starts affecting your life.We must try to find a solution of the problem. Roosevelt said that,"all we have to fear is fear itself". From the lesson "Deep water" we learnt that how a young boy, he nearly drowned in a swimming pool but after many year he gather some courage and became a good swimmer. Strong will, hard determination, courage and toil as well as honest labour win over all our terrors and fears . The will to live brushes aside all our fears. This realisation made him resolve to learn swimming by an instructor. His training is a long and slow process, but he learn everything patiently and never gives up. It is said that: "Try Try, But Don't Cry"

  • Formatting refers to the appearance or presentation of your essay. Another word for formatting is layout. Most essays contain at least four different kinds of text: headings, ordinary paragraphs, quotations and bibliographic references.
  • In word processing and desktop publishing, layout refers to the arrangement of text and graphics. The layout of a document can determine which points are emphasized, and whether the document is aesthetically pleasing.

The Governor in the story is a man who is proud of himself. He does not take silly and non sense things into consideration, he has a being straight forward attitude. When James breaks out of prison he gets sent to the Oxford prison where the governor sees to it that he doesn't break out again. The Governor is a determined man which is why he personally takes matter into his own hands by keeping a close eye on James's actions. But the one place where is lacked was communication. He didn't see to it closely enough and didn't have any contact with James which is why the subordinates Jackson and Stephen end up losing him.
