    Griffin, the invisible man, is the protagonist of the novel. But his deeds were more like that of an antagonist. He was an eccentric scientist. Though he was a gifted scientist, he used his mind in a sinister was. He wanted to unleash a reign of terror. He devised an experiment to become invisible and then started looting and murdering whoever came in his way.
    He was very irritable and impatient. He lost his temper over pretty things and started hurting others. He had lost all his sense of conscience and didn’t feel sorry even after his burglary led to his father’s death. Although he was lonely and seemed to have been misunderstood from time to time, he failed to gain sympathy due to his murderous rage and evil ways.

    The story ‘The Last Lesson’ highlights the human tendency that there is plenty of time to do things; hence, man keeps postponing the lessons of life, oblivious to the fact that life is subject to change. The people of Alsace always thought they had plenty of time to learn the lessons; therefore, they did not give much importance to school. They preferred their children to work on the farms and mills instead of having them learn the lessons. Even Franz, the narrator, always looked for opportunities to skip the school and collect birds’ eggs. However, the unexpected happens and an order is received from Berlin regarding compulsory teaching of German in the schools of Alsace and Lorraine. It is then that they realise that they would be deprived of what they had been evading all this while.

    The last French lesson taught by M. Hamel symbolizes the loss of language and the loss of freedom for France. It becomes an emotional lesson rendered by M. Hamel to the villagers, signifying the changing order of life and its impact on the sensibilities and emotions of people. The marching soldiers under the windows represent the dawn of Prussia in France, defeat of the French people and the resultant threat to their language and culture.

    A national level Quiz Contest was held by CBSE on 5th of May 2019 teams consisting of two members from our school took part in this contest. it was very interesting contest in which 20 other teams from all over the India took part. the contest was held on a knockout system in which our team was lucky enough to reach the final our opponents in the final were very strong team but we outsmarted them in the final decisives rounds they were leading by 20 points at the end of the third round but in the fourth and fifth round we had a sort of walkover since our opponents in there over enthusiasm give almost all their answers wrong we won the contest by a comfortable margin of 8 points the glittering Trophy now adorns the principal office
