Burglary took place at the Vicar's house in the small hours of whit Monday,the day devoted in Iping to the club festivities. Mrs. Bunting woke up suddenly in the stillness that comes before the down, the door of theor bedroom being opened and closed.Mr. Bunting also heard the fumbling going at his study desk down-stairs. They heard the chink of money and realised that robber had found the housekeeping reserve of gold. The place was empty, as they rush out in the kitchen. Also the kitchen door slammed. But they saw no one there.
