?Whole world is rattrap? is metaphor in this chap..

Pavneet Kaur 6 years, 10 months ago

The metaphor of the rattrap signifies that the world exists only to trap people by setting baits for them. Whenever someone is tempted by the luxuries, he ends up being caught in a dangerous trap. The author, thus, makes a much deeper comment on the woeful plight of those in pursuit of the worldly pleasures, which often lead them to unfortunate situations. The story helps in realising the importance of general goodness and kindness. The peddler is saved from the snare of the huge rattrap called world only when he appreciates the kindness to him by Edla.

?......".he kills his father " u wrote , is not appropriate becoz his father was died due to money which was others BUT griffin stole tht money for his experiments.....his father dont afford this so he died....I told u tht becoz mene bhi mere pre board me asa hi likha tha but mere teachr ne half marks cut kr diya.......AAPNE KAFI ACHA ans likha h......much appreciated ?

Gaurav Deshwal 6 years, 10 months ago

Griffin is a brilliant scientist who does many experiments. He uses his invention to turn himself invisible. During the course of his experiments, he displays no compassion for the cat who suffers miserably as Griffin does experiments on it. He kills his father and instead of feeling guilty, he justifies his actions by calling his father a sentimental fool! He flouts all social restrictions and norms by stealing, cheating and even killing people. He attacks Kemp and anyone else who refuses to assist him to realise his evil intentions. His actions exhibit how morally degraded and self-centred he has become. "The invisible man " truly highlights the theme of corruption of morals in the absence of social restriction.
